Don't Take Out Student Loans

There has been major circulation of The New York Times article by David Segal! This riveting story covers the law school scam and I have received many e mails from prospective paralegal students, parents, and unemployed professionals.

I have many parents asking me if there children should study paralegal studies or get a degree in the field. One girl even told me she is one signature away from taking out $45,000 in student loan debt to go to a for profit school to become a Paralegal.

DO NOT GO INTO DEBT! DO NOT TAKE OUT STUDENT LOANS! IT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE BEYOND REPAIR!

You will not be able to buy a house, get married, have children and live a life that you have always wanted to live as a working professional. If you are hell bent on going on for more education, go to a local cheap state institution for any sort of training, whether it be vocational or grad school.

All of these scam bloggers such as Third Tier Reality, But I Did Everything Right, Subprime JD, Shilling Me Softly, Lawschoolisascam.com, First Tier toilet and the Jobless Juris Doctor do not lie!

Just like David Segal reported in his story, the odds of getting a law job paying $160,000 a year is like winning the lottery, the same thing goes for trying to find a paralegal job that pays $60,000 a year.

Going into debt is just not worth it!

  1. Excellent report. Incidentally, I have often found RT to be far superior to the U.S. media in its reporting on key national and international events. Not surprising that this is good piece.

    Amen! Amen! Amen!

  3. I went to a for profit paralegal school in the mid-90's and took out a $10,000 loan. I never actually worked as a paralegal. Luckily, the degree opened a door to another career. However, in retrospect, I should have never gone to a for profit school. One practical issue to consider. If a for profit school goes out of business, you don't have access to your transcripts. Better to go to a state university that sponsors a paralegal program if you really want to pursue this.

  4. Just curious - how much does it cost to go to school (either non-profit or four year state university) to become a paralegal? Based on the above comment, it sounds like approximately $10,000??

If so, I'm really getting jacked because I paid 100K to go to law school and work as a paralegal in a dead-end, go-nowhere, learn-nothing job for a big corp. WOW. Nevertheless, I have to keep doing what I'm doing to pay my never ending student loans. What a wonderful life. Great blog, by the way.

  5. It was $10,000 in the mid-90's for the school I went to. It's probably more now. In comparison, it was about $3,000 to go to UCLA's paralegal program back then. The lesson is, do your research.

  6. I don't know what schools they are looking at, but most in the DC area are under $10,000....

  7. Most paralegal programs in the LA area including the UCLA program you mentioned cost less than 7K. Not so bad, as scams go.

  8. Great post full of useful tips! My site is fairly new and I am also having a hard time getting my readers to leave comments. Analytics shows they are coming to the site but I have a feeling “nobody wants to be first”. free credit score report

  9. Hello everyone, I am writing this Testimony because am really grateful for what Daniel Silva did for me and my family, when I thought there was no hope he came and make my family feel alive again by lending us loan at a very low interest rate of 3%. Well I have been searching for a loan to settle my debts for the past three months all I met scammed and took my money until I finally met a God sent Lender. I never thought that there are still genuine loan lenders on the internet but to my greatest surprise i got my loan without wasting much time so if you are out there looking for a loan of any amount i would advise you to email Mr Daniel via: { danielsilva_investment@hotmail.com } or call (608) 728-8913 and be free of internet scams.thanks...Evan Hermann from California, USA.

  11. I am very excited today and do not know where to start my testimony from. I was a poor woman with 3 kids, i found it difficult to pay my bills and feed my kids. My husband left me and the kids for another woman and ever since then we were living in pain and hunger but just few days ago i came across a testimony of a man who got a blank ATM card from Clifford Jackson so i immediately contacted them for the same type of ATM card and i am very happy to announce to the world that i am living a fulfilled life. This Blank ATM card can withdraw up to 10,000 dollars and more daily without you having any account with any Bank. I have been able to buy a house and living big with this blank ATM card. Are you poor and need help then contact Clifford Jackson via email: ( cliffordhackerspays@gmail.com )
